Aadhaar has emerged as one of the most important documents in recent times. From getting a SIM card to getting a Gas Connection, everything is dependent on Aadhaar Card. The card is also used to avail the benefits of the government scheme. A lot of people didn’t have Aadhaar Card and they obtained the Aadhaar card by applying for the same. Typically, it takes about 90 days to receive the Aadhaar Card. In certain cases, a person might not receive the Aadhaar Card even after the enrolment. Reasons for Not Getting Aadhaar Card
There could be many reasons for not receiving the Aadhaar card. Some of the reasons are –
- The application has been Lost or the data entered has been corrupted
- The card is lost in transit.
So the first step is to understand that what went wrong. To know this, the best way is to check the status of the Aadhaar Card. All you need to do is that you would have to enter your enrolment ID along with the security code to know the status of the Aadhaar Card.
The status that you may see are
- In Progress
- Dispatched or Delivered
- Not Found
- Can’t be Processed
If the status of the application is In Progress, then you need to wait for a total period of three months. If it has already been three months, you can go ahead and call the toll-free helpline at 1947. The issue will be escalated and it will be resolved.
Dispatched or Delivered
If the status of the application shows to be Dispatched or Delivered and if you still have not received the Aadhaar Card, then you can track the status of the delivery through the tracking link on the page. Or you can also download the digital version of the Aadhaar Card. It will take only a few minutes to download Aadhaar and it will be valid for the use.
You can download the Aadhaar card by clicking here (https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/). Once the page loads, you can enter all the details like you Enrolment ID, Name, Pin Code, Captcha Code and the mobile number. You will then receive an OTP on your mobile and as soon as you validate the OTP, the Aadhaar Card will be downloaded.
Rest of the Three Status
If the status of the Aadhaar Card shows as Rejected, Not Found or can’t be processed, you would have to visit the enrollment center again to apply for the Aadhaar Card. Basically, you would have to apply for the Aadhaar card again. The problem could be because of the encryption error or the lost application. Whatever the case is, you would have to apply for the Aadhaar Card again.
