The government had been stressing on Aadhaar card a lot and it has made it mandatory for many jobs and services. At present, most of the services can’t be obtained without a valid Aadhaar card and in a recent press conference, the government announced that it would also be impossible to file Income Tax Return without a PAN Card and an Aadhaar Card. In such a situation, it becomes really important to be a part of this center a listed database. Aadhaar works as a universal ID Proof within the country and if you still haven’t got the Aadhaar Card then you need to enrol for the Aadhaar Card at the earliest. To enrol, you need to visit the nearest Aadhaar Card Centre and submit the form along with biometric details such as Iris Scan and fingerprints.
To locate the nearest Aadhaar Card Center, follow the steps mentioned below. This will help you in quickly locating the center and enrolling for this ID Card.
Steps to be followed
- The first step is to navigate to the UIDAI website. The UIDAI website is uidai.gov.in and alternatively, you can click here to navigate to the website.
- Once the website loads, go to Aadhaar Online Services and click on Locate Enrolment Centre. This will open a new page in a new tab and the page would help you in searching for the enrolment centre.
- The next step is to enter the State from the Drop down Menu. After entering the state, enter the District or the City and then enter the Locality in which you are looking for the Enrolment Centre.
- After entering all the details, you can click on the search button. This will display the address of the centre along with details of the contact person, contact number of the centre, start date of the centre and closing date of the centre. Some of the centres are atemporary set up hence they have a closing date but most of the centres mentioned in the list are permanent ones. Below is a screenshot of the search screen.
Once the details of the centre are displayed, you can go ahead and visit the enrolment centre so as to enrol for the Aadhaar card. For you convenience, call the centre and check the working hours before visit the centre. You can also check with them in the case of any query related to enrolment.
